I just looked at Elk and there is more open water every day. The access area is starting to open up past the boat ramp and from there up stream past route 5. There is plenty of open water at Whiteman's Bridge and I am sure that it continues like that as we go up stream. There is lots of open water in the Sterrettania area and I have had several reports from fishermen of good fishing in this area. It will stay warm all week and then maybe rain for the weekend which could blow the whole stream out; we will see what happens. Anyway, fishing is now Ok and getting close to good.
