The streams are starting to open up some and there is open water at the access area on the Elk. The melt has been slow and the stream has been not rising too fast. We have a warm week ahead of us and that will continue to improve the streams some more. I do not look for a totally open stream until we get some significant rain. The main Lake however remains ice free.
